Specs: Windows 7 ultimate, ram
I was having problems running windows 7 on only 1gb of ram so i found out what one i needed and bought another 1gb. i installed it in my empty slot , booted my pc and it only says 1gb. both pieces of ram work in both slots alone. but if i put both in it only says 1gb on my system properties. I made sure both were properly inserted. Any ideas???

Are the sticks of ram made by the same manufacturer and do they have the exact same specs? I ask these questions as some motherboards can be finicky when it comes to ram.

list the system model #, and both ram specs. Did u check in bios if both ram are recognized?
"8600gt super graphics card" now days 8600gt isn't a super v-card.
