Solved My motherboard can't power all the ports(vga, keyboard, mouse)

September 2, 2017 at 04:01:43
Specs: Windows10, Intel dual core/2Gb ddr2
I have ecs g31t m7 motherboard. When I power on the cpu every thing works fine and the monitor also displays the screen but all the back panel ports are not working. So I connected the vga cable through graphic card.
I went the shop they said there is fault in the main chip of motherboard and the motherboard needs to be replaced but I didn't believe them.
Now the usb port, keyboard, mouse, vga and all the ports of back panel are not working.
I don't understand what is the reason.😪

"but I didn't believe them"

Well I agree with what you were told at the shop, your motherboard is most likely faulty and needs replacing.

"I don't understand what is the reason"

What don't you understand about "faulty motherboard"?
It means the motherboard has a fault - lol.

For starters, your motherboard is relatively old. The chipset it's based on was released in 2007. And other than the board, you didn't list your system specs. How about a detailed list? Be sure to include the make/model/wattage of your power supply. Because in order for the board to power the back panel ports properly, it needs clean & consistent power from the power supply.

And let's get this out of the way - "When I power on the cpu every thing works fine". THIS is a CPU.

BTW, I'm a little unclear about your statement about the display. If you have a graphics card installed, the board's VGA port is generally disabled. That's normal, not the sign of a problem.

Also if you purchased the motherboard used (ebay or other place) it may have been bad when you purchased it.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
