My monitor has a green tint

March 28, 2011 at 03:28:24
Specs: Windows XP, intel pentium 4 cpu 2.20ghz
I cleaned out my computer with some air. I also replaced the thermal grease. I inspected everything the best I could and it all looked ok. Nothing seemed disconnected or out of place. I also replaced my heat sink. When I plugged in my monitor it has a green tint to it. I have tried everything I can think of. My computer is an older Sony Vaio PCV-RX770. From what I understand the video is integrated in the motherboard. Is it possible that the video is going bad? Also, I will be replacing my power supply because my computer is running a bit warm. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your monitor an older CRT type or an LCD?

When you blew out the case did you also blow out the power supply from both ends? That would have no affect on your current problem but can affect temperatures and life expectancy of the power supply.
