My Lenovo shuts down on its own.

Lenovo 3000 y410 notebook

Specs: Windows XP
My Lenovo shuts down on its own whether I am playing Chuzzle (a game), surfing or just plain typing a document and lately even when I am boot scanning. After scanning only 10% of my data, it shuts down on its own.
Everytime it shuts down on its own. I tried turning on the power but it shuts down on its own again. I have to let around 10 minutes pass and turn the power on again. If I do this, it goes back to normal.

It's shutdown or restart? Check the cpu temp in bios and post them back here.

Thank you for your reply. It does not restart. It shuts down.
People say that its a heat problem so I bought a cooling pad placed under my laptop. I cleaned the air vent which was not clogged with dirt. Still the problem persisted.
Just a few hours ago, we were in an airconditioned room. I was backing up my files in a portable Hard drive. It shuts down in the middle of this back up. I waited for around 5 minutes. Turned it on, and tried backing up my files again. After a few minutes, It shuts down again on its own.
