My laptop won't start normally.

Specs: Windows 7
I dropped my laptop from about twenty centimeters. It was switched on at the time, and still worked afterwards. The mouse kept jamming, but that was all that happened. I decided to switch it on and off to be sure, but when I tried to switch it back on it loaded Dell like normal, then a massive pile of coding came up. I didn't undertstand it, and I waited a while, but nothing happened, so I swiched it off again. This happened a couple of times, then it loaded Dell, a cursor like this _ came up and flashed about four times, and then the screen went a really dark blue and didn't do anything. If I leave it like that for about half and hour, a Microsoft Corporation loading screen comes up. Another half an hour, and the Microsoft blue background with birds and plants shows up. The cursor is bigger than normal and it stays at that screen, doing nothing. Is there a way to fix this? What is the problem? And should I just send it to someone to be fixed?

I regret to hear that you are facing an issue with your dell system. As your system is not booting properly you can try running diagnostics, Diagnostics can be restarting system and tapping F12 key at Dell logo for 5-6 times and you will see an option for Diagnostics, please make a note of error message and you can also try Safe mode option you need to tap F8 at Dell logo for 5-6 times for Safe mode option.

Try choosing "Load Last Known Good Configuration" while you are in the Safe Mode menu.
