my keyboard stopped working. been tring to install a driver

Specs: Windows Vista
maybe i need a driver but cannot find one that works. i have windows vista. 1st just my numbers would not work now no keys will work. i'm using the on screen keyboard.

That sounds like a hardware fault. Do you have access to another keyboard that you can try?

Keyboards generally don't need special drivers. It doesn't help that you haven't listed any info about your system or keyboard. Is it USB or PS/2? Have you tried a different keyboard? Have you tried the "problem keyboard" on another system?

right now i am using on screen key board. i have windows vista. 32bit. i also purchased a new inexpensive keyboard. make name ONN. USB TYPE of connection. thanks for any help.

"Onscreen keyboard" indicates this might be some kind of tablet device you are talking about. You still did not give any specifications for your system, nor is it clear whether your problem is confined to the "onscreen" or plug-in keyboard.

Begin by telling us the type, make & model of whatever device you are dealing with.
