Solved my intel hd graphics is not working acer aspi

June 22, 2011 at 10:59:43
Specs: Windows 7
when i turned on my laptop today my screen didnt look like it was yesterday (it was in HD) but today it is a lot worse. And then when i went on to device manager and clicked display adapters it says that my Intel HD Graphics is not installed. This is what it said :

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

Again, have you recently re-installed Windows 7?

Do you use automatic Windows Updates? New updates are pushed on Tuesday. Maybe you received and update that messed up your graphics drivers.

The message you posted in #1 above does not necessarily mean the driver you have is no good. Just means the writer of the driver didn't get it certified for Windows 7.

The link below has the latest Acer drivers for your laptop.

Did your Aspire come with Windows 7 originally?

If not, what version did come on it?

Have you recently re-installed Windows?

Post the full model number.

The link below actually shows the list of drivers for your laptop. Only one VGA driver is an Intel product.

http://support.acer.com/us/en/produ...

The driver is in zip format, so you need to unzip it and then follow the instructions. I can't tell you more than that because I would need to attempt installing it on my system, which I am not doing.

Ok thanks a lot for your help and if it does fix my problem i will be very grateful and post to let you know. But if it doesn't work i am going to ring up acer and ask them as they should definitely know what to do.
