My Friend spilled milk on Toshiba laptop

Specs: Windows 7
A friend of mine spilled milk on her Toshiba Satellite L455 laptop, it is only 6 mths old so the warranty isn't up, but she bought an additional warranty with Best Buy and I called them and they said that it was covered with their warranty. Also she says she spilled it mainly on the left side of it and came out the fan on the bottom, and I was wondering what all would have gotten wet? She took the battery out and she just keep's saying the same thing,"I just spilled a little, not the whole bowl". She put the battery back in this morning and it's dead, if isn't covered what is her best bet? Rebuild or buy something different? I personally wouldn't want to use any part of the old computer, but that's me...

I hate the idiots at that place. We spent 6 months trying to get them to fix a camera that we paid extra "warranty" on. Had to threaten them with a law suit before they finally fixed (somewhat fixed eveni

Those warranty deals are rather subjective. Read what you paid for and then decide if it should be covered.

Don't spill stuff on electronic stuff, don't buy "extended warranties" and don't go to places that refuse to honor their statements and written documentation.

It's not covered unless the warranty covers accidental damage and it doesn't specifically say it doesn't cover damage caused by spills.
