Solved My external hdd is not show in my computer and write protect

Specs: Windows 7
My external hdd is not show in my computer but it shows in device manager but it is unallocated when i want to create partition there is no option and it shows write protected so what can i do model no: wd my passport 070a

Try this:

Open "Computer"
Double click the external drives virtual CD icon.
Double click the "unlock" application
enter your password to unlock it.

Apparently it is a known issue where if the computer hibernates it comes back "write protected." A friend of mine has this exact same issue.

Already do all this basic things.but when i click to the disk management then it shows a window name Initialize Disk then there are 2 option MBR(Master Boot Record)
GPT(GUID Partition Table) but when i click to one of that option and press ok then shows Write protected.then when i click right to the mouse then there is only one option is available which is properties and help no other option is worked so now what can i do

A few questions:

- did this drive EVER work properly?
- have you tested it on a different system?
- did you try a different USB cable?
- was the drive used on a MAC? If so, how was it formatted?
- is the data on the drive encrypted?
