Solved My Dvd drive does not have a sata!

Specs: Windows 7
Hi, i have a problem! my new motherboard the Asus P8P67 RS Revolution dossent have the normal connecting port on the board it self, so there is no way for me to connect it to the motherboard. what do i do?

Your board has 8 SATA ports. It's doesn't support PATA/IDE.

Buy a new SATA DVD drive.

If you don't have any IDE connectors just buy a SATA DVD drive. They are cheap. Look at the link below if you live in the USA or Canada.

If you want and need Bluray capability then go for it. The unit will read and burn CD & DVD media as well.

Most likely the unit will only READ Bluray.
