|Possibly. Post back the size of the hard drive. Post back exactly what happens when you try to boot the drive--any error messages, does it hang at some point and go no further? |
If there's nothing on the drive, well it ain't gonna boot. Or if there's a problem with the drive, maybe because the bios isn't seeing it, that needs to be fixed first.
If you want to reinstall XP you need to boot from the XP cd and not the hard drive. You may be able to get by with a repair install:
if there's a working version already on the drive.
