Hey guys, I JUST built my first PC. Here's all of my parts http://pcpartpicker.com/p/zgb6t6 Here's a picture of it last night. (GPU was idling at about 49C, after rewiring it properly it's running at 32C idle, maxes out at 58C running Ark, that's also when it crashes.) http://i.imgur.com/V9opk5L.jpg
Here's the MSI Afterburner log up until it crashed http://i.imgur.com/EvNQ1Xr.png
Here's a system log up until crash
If you need anything else, just ask! I'd really appreciate it, as I can't play any games!
UPDATE: Currently at 59C and running stable. I opened the case and my 1 2gb stick of RAM was a litttttllleee loose. Possibly the problem?message edited by abennette32
Random shutdowns are usually due to an overheating CPU or an inadequate power supply. Based on your parts lists, the power supply is the weak link. Scroll down to "The Bottom Line": http://www.hardocp.com/article/2015...
Yeah....http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817494014 I'm on the phone with Frys.com right now requesting a refund, then headed out to Best Buy to get http://www.bestbuy.com/site/thermal...
I don't recommend that one either. Stick with Corsair. You can't beat this deal on a 600W for just $37 after rebate & promo code:
Went to buy that at Best Buy, they didn't have anything but 300W's and a single 900W Corsair. Purchased it (Soooo much higher than my budget for PSU) Not a single problem yet.
Best Buy is the worst place to buy computer hardware...way overpriced. And as far as I know, Corsair doesn't make a 900W PSU. What's the model number? You couldn't have waited a couple of days for an online order to come in?
Forget BestBuy - Try MicroCenter - it's is an American computer department store founded in Columbus, Ohio in 1979 by two former Radio Shack employees. MicroCenter has branches everywhere - 6 of them in Metro NYC. They have everything - http://www.microcenter.com/ i_Xp/Vista/W7/W10 User

Yeah but I wanted to replace the CPU ASAP. I know that I was overpaying and I'm aware. If I was near a Microcenter, I would've gone.
