My computer cannot keep system time. It changes every time I boot. What's the problem?

I have the same problem. In my case it's because certain capacitors on my motherboard are ill-fitted and partially functional. I put up with it because I don't wanna send my motherboard for repair and some might make a mess of it.

This might be the case with your board too, or maybe not.
