My computer will not boot the install disc

Hewlett-packard Pavilion p6210f desktop...

Specs: Windows 7, 6
I turned my computer off to install windows 7 updates like i normally would. I woke up the next day and it was frozen, i restarted it and it wouldn't boot past the HP start up screen. I tried to reformat thinking it was a virus but during the win7 installation it froze and broke my Hard drive. I bought a new one and when i tried to install ANY OS it wouldnt boot. It would start and then randomly freeze. I reset my CMOS, took out ram, and many other things. Im stumped and don't know what to do.

Is the hard drive detected in the BIOS? It is possible that the motherboard controller is also defective.
