|I was about to take my external somewhere to get someone's info off there drive so it could be transferred to a new computer. My big foot caught one of the cables and knocked it off the counter it broke the USB connector on the little circuit. I thought to myself maybe that is the only damage. So I take the case apart and get the drive out. Drive seems OK I connect it to my computer and boot the computer. BIOS see's the drive drive management see's the drive but looks unformatted. I take a look on a bootable partition CD it's not formatted. I ran diagnostic test on the drive and it passed. I had about 250 GB of very important info on the drive. I went and purchased a program that cost $85.00 total to recover the data. It did not find the 250 GB of data I had. Is there anything I can do? Is my data gone? I guess and I tried the program called recuva and it found about the same thing as the other program. |
