Specs: windows 8.1
I tried to start the weather app which crashed several times then when i went to swipe/close the app the third time it went to blank screen and all i got was a finger trace when i swiped the screen(dots following the swipe track) I shut it off and restarted it after a few minutes and now there's nothing at all.

Unplug the AC adapter & take out the battery for a few minutes. And while the battery is out, press & hold the power button for a few seconds to discharge it.

Hi Riider,
i don't see any access to the battery. Does this mean I have to remove the entire back of the keyboard? i've never had this happen on any machine,so am a little unclear as to how to remove the battery. It isn't like the Dell laptop I have. TIA

Your manual states you have an embedded battery, so it may not even be accessible.

No, it isn't. The only thing I can think of is to let the battery wear down and try again.
