Multiple Transfers or Task on a HD at the same Time ok?

January 5, 2019 at 16:34:28
Specs: Windows 10, i5 9600k / 8gb
Transferring from 1 HD to another, usually am impatient, and will have multiple moving task going on, Does having a HD do multiple task to different locations and or deleting files at the same time, put extra wear on a HD, or can it cause problems?

Depends if it slows things down to the point of freezing/blue screening.

Windows will usually balance things out.
MS updates usually have a message saying > Continue on working.
Re the wear, things will be just the same, no extra wear.

Hi Nekro,
I suspect it will be overall slower if there are multiple tasks involving transfers at the same time., due to head movement with conventional hdd's.

The occasional delete will not affect though.
.
Good Luck - Keep us posted.
