MSCDEX.EXE is built into the Dos operating system, if the operating system version supports it, (and Win 95 to ME if you want to use the drive in MsDos "real" mode), and you need only the one version for any optical drive.

SD-C2502 User Guide
http://sdd.toshiba.com/techdocs/SD-...

You Do need the ATAPI driver for the SD-C2502 - get cddrv224.zip here and un-zip it.
http://storage.toshiba.eu/cms/en/hd...

You need the proper line configuration for MSCDEX to be in Autoexec.bat, and the proper line configuration for the ATAPI driver to be in Config.sys

If you're booting from a floppy disk, you need both MSCDEX and the ATAPI driver to be on the floppy disk, and the proper line configurations in Autoexec.bat and Config.sys pointing to their location on the floppy disk, OR, if MSCDEX and the ATAPI driver are NOT on the floppy disk, pointing to their location on the hard drive if they're already on the hard drive.
