Moving my computer

Specs: Windows XP
I'm moving my computer to another space in the room. the DSL cable that comes through a hole in wall from outside and connects to my modem, is not long enough. can i purchase another cable and a coupler to join the two cables? Or do I need to pay Cablevision to come in. Thank you!

I'm confused. I thought Cablevision only provide cable internet and DSl is provided mostly by the telephone companies.

Sorry for confusion. My service is now Cablevision internet. I no longer have DSL.
