Mouse quit working (3rd one)

Specs: Windows 7
My dell lap top came with Vista - I had it wiped and windows 7 professional installed (by an IT friend).

I then got a usb number pad.

Other then working thru the changes in Windows 7 I have been very pleased with the computer and the number pad.

I was using a Bluetooth mouse (from Microsoft) then the right click button would not work. Tried on the desktop computer (still has xp) but the right click button on the mouse would not work.

Switch to a usb Logitech mouse after a few weeks it stopped working -- tried new battery - nothing -- tried the mouse on the desktop computer no joy. It was one dead mouse.

Bought a new Microsoft usb mouse. after a few weeks it stopped also.

I have been using a wired mouse for two weeks now and so far so good.

Any one have any ideas why my laptop keeps killing my mice?

If these mice wouldn't work on another computer then I think you have just been the victim of some very bad luck or coincidence. It's very unlikely that your system or hardware would wreck mice (without some very definite other symptoms).

If the drivers you used worked in the first place then I see no reason why they should suddenly become unsuitable.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

A wired mouse seemed to cure your problem...I myself do not have much faith in wireless mice....
