Hi! dude! my computer run windows 7 64bit and it has 3 partitions and I want to know how can we add these three partitions to virtual box or vmware?.(please explain me in detail)

-2nd question: My laptop is Dell inspiron N5110 intel core i5 and ram 4GB, and I want to know how can I update BIOS? I ask that because I heard that update BIOS can cause computer break down.

-3rd question: the same hardware as 2nd question, My laptop has 2 video adapter, one is Intel graphic HD3000 and another is Nvidia Geforce 525M, so when I use use windows 8,should I install 2 video drivers or just only Nvidia?

Thank for your helping!!!

✔ Best Answer
1. Unless you really know what you are doing, don't add physical drives to virtual machines. That is a recipe for disaster.

2. Don't update your BIOS unless you really need to. A failed update, though rare if you are sensible (e.g., don't update the BIOS whilst on battery power), can make your computer unusable.

3. If you use both graphics adapters with two monitors then you need to install both drivers. Otherwise you only need drivers for the one you use. But it does no harm to install drivers for both, and could be useful if one broke.

Question one, if you are installing Windows XP Professional in the Virtual Machine, the existing drives are shared with the visual machine automatically. You need to read the instructions for the MS Virtual Machine for Windows if that is what you are using.

Question Two If it ant broke don't fix it,

Question Three.

In the Intel i3, i5, ,i7 CPU;s the Graphics is integrated into t the chip and in the case eif the i5 it is called Intel graphic HD3000 In the Inspiration range of laptops the integral graphics are disabled and it uses the second one, the Nvidia Geforce 525M. So you only need to install drivers for that which you will find on the CD that came with the laptop or can be downloaded from Dell.

You can still use two monitors though, the internal monitor and an external one with an extended desktop but they will both be using the Nvidea.
