Motherboard RAM question

Specs: Windows 7, Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6750/2GB RAM
Hey guys, again...

So another question about this motherboard, Asus P5G41T-M LX.

When i read about the specs, it says it takes Dual Channel DDR3 1333 but then in brackets it says (O.C). Does that mean i'd have to overclock the RAM manually for it to run 1333 or will it do it itself?

Sorry if that's confusing :)

Thanks.

"Does that mean i'd have to overclock the RAM manually for it to run 1333"

Yes, that's what it means. Do you have a CPU that runs at 1333MHz FSB? If not, there's no point running the RAM at 1333MHz.

Yes i have a CPU that runs at 1333. But what i'm saying is that if i baught 1333 RAM. Would i need to do anything for it to run at 1333 because the specs say supports 1333 RAM (O.C)
Sorry, may be confusing again ;D

Yes, you will have to manually configure the RAM settings to get it to run at 1333Mhz (actual speed = 667MHz). See the BIOS chapter in your motherboard manual.

Mickliq, what did you say about the CPU running at 1333 FSB? Does the RAM speed have to match it?

Could you explain it in more detail please? Thanks! :)
