Motherboard keeps restarting

Specs: Windows XP, AMD Sempron 1.8 Ghz/1GB and 256MB
I just recently switched my motherboard to another motherboard (p4s533-mx) and once I get past the bios i get asked to start windows in safe mode or with the last known good configuration. I chose either one and as soon as it seems like it's going to work it just restarts. Any suggestions?

Oh this seems to be a great problem, because a new motherboard mostly means new chipset, onboard network and sound card a.s.o.

So if you haven't unistalled the hardware specific drivers before changing the motherboard, you may have to make a fresh installation of windows.

If you need to save necessary data, before you make a fresh install, use a live cd like Knoppix, to save the data to USB-Drive, DVD or USB-Stick.

You don't have to do a fresh install, but you definitely will have to do a "repair install":

Perform a Repair Installation
