Solved MotherBoard for NEW 3rd GEN intel i5 3450 cpu

Specs: Windows 7 pro, bulldozer/8gb
hey there im going to do a new build, i have a question, What cheap motherboard will support the latest new 3rd GEN intel i5 cpus. I am looking to buy this motherboard:- ASRock H61M-VS Socket 1155 VGA 5.1 Channel Audio mATX Mobo. Will the NEW CPU's work on this???

also will, CIT Gold 500W dual rail power supply be able to run this with a HD 7770 graphics card to.

god just please say what mobo. I'm looking for one to support i5 ivybridge so i can run a 7970 on it with pcie 3.0

CIT Gold 500W = cheap genric junk.

Replace it with a reliable name brand unit that's 80 plus certified, has a single +12v rail @ 32A or higher, active PFC, 3-5 yr warranty. For example:

The 1st link I provided is to the CPU support list for your motherboard. Although the 3rd Generation isn't listed, there are updates available in the download section, along with this statement:

"To support Intel's 3rd Generation (Ivy Bridge) CPU, corresponding BIOS, drivers and AXTU update are required"

For full functionality get a motherboard with a '7' series chipset like the Z77. Some of the later model '6' series like the Z68 does support more features than the H or P series, but not all. Also the '7' series natively supports USB3, PCIe 3.0, and more.
