Specs: Windows 10
the dvi port works on the computer the monitor doesnt work with, ive tried other monitors and they work, the monitor in question is a acer s240hl abd. the system that im using that it doesnt work on is a amd fx 8350 eight core with 2 7950s crossfired 16gb of gskill ram and a 800w power supply. the mobo i dont remember the name of but it works fine. I tried resetting the cmos battery and made sure the ram sticks are seated properly. the computer it doesnt work with does work with hdmi on my tv and the dvi ports work on other monitors like i said, so i cant figure out why it wont work with my monitor. also the dvi cable works fine as I am using it currently to type this message.

Please elaborate on what you specifically mean when you say the monitor "doesn't work", that's too vague.

a) It won't switch on.

b) It says "no signal" on the screen.

c) other symptom

I don't think RAM has to do with the monitor not working !! As already said please provide the error message so that we can assist in a better way..

As stated above, the RAM has nothing to do with the problem, & resetting the BIOS definitely is not how to fix it. Hopefully you went back into the BIOS & correctly all the settings again, not just date/time. Default settings are never best, they are only a starting point. Try taking out one of your video cards & see if the monitor works with just one.
