Specs: Windows XP sp3
I have an emachines monitor model LE1987 and noticed that it has an extra dvi plug. I recently bought an lcd tv and was wondering if i was able to conect my computer monitor to my tv and see the same image?

I'm willing to say no. I have never heard of such a monitor to monitor use. More likely a dual computer but I'd suspect that is rare.

Go to the emachines site and get the owners manual to be sure.

You probably have two video connections on your monitor, a VGA connection and a DVI connection. This is not to be used as a through for video signals but it gives you the option to plug in a VGA cable or DVI cable.

Both the ports on your monitor are INPUT ports. As was stated above there are two different types of input.

If your computer has a graphics card with two ports on it you may be bale to connect the TV too. Depends on what type of outputs on the graphics card and what type of inputs on the TV.

You can watch TV on your computer with the right hardware and connections.
