Specs: Windows 7, 2 GB
I have a LCD Samsung monitor which worked very well. But yesterday a problem occurred in it. It does not display anything. But sometimes automatically its display comes. I even connected the monitor to another computer, there it worked fine.
I think, maybe its not getting signals properly from the CPU.....
Please help me!!!!

If it works okay on a different PC, there is nothing wrong with the monitor iteself.

Try a new signal cable. if that doesn't help then your computer's graphic card may be faulty. if it's a PCI or PCI-e graphics card (ie not integrated with the motherboard), carefully remove it and then firmly push it back into the slot.

Before touching any internal components, unplug the PC from the mains, then discharge static electricity from your body by touching the bare metal chassis of the PC. Now it is safe to touch internal components.

"maybe its not getting signals properly from the CPU....."

You mean from the GPU.

Hi Phil,

are you sure touching the bare metal chassis of the pc will discharge static electricity from one's body, as it is not earthed if disconnected (as opposed to switched off) from the mains?

Good Luck - Keep us posted.

Yes, need to leave it plugged in so the earth connection in the mains plug can take any static to earth. Without the earth connection the static has nowhere to go.
