monitor no signal

December 7, 2011 at 05:54:04
Specs: Windows XP
My bro's desktop, Acer M1202 monitor's shows no signal by sudden. Already changed the power settings and
I didn't touch any other settings. I have been using it for a month. There was also a pop up describing that the graphics card (I think) doesn't work properly and must be incompatible. Please help me fix this problem ASAP because he needs it to edit videos and do covers of songs.

I really appreciate it if helped.

You'll need to remove the graphics card & fit a new one.
If the current graphics card is not removable (on-board), it will (usually) be automatically disabled when an alternative one is detected.

I think it's the driver or something else.

I'm guessing the "no signal" error happened right after you messed with the power settings? What exactly did you change & why?

I changed it to never turn off the monitor and hardrive, and at the top I changed to home/office desktop, because my monitor shows no signal?

I'm confused. How can you be altering power scheme settings "because the monitor shows no signal" ?

If there is no display on the monitor how can you see to change anything?
