missing logitech hard drive

Specs: Windows 7
Have a Logitech 848nm laser mouse it just stopped working Batteries ok, changed usb etc Nothing Am thinking the drive was lost during a System Mechanic running How can I put the drive back?

Run the install CD that came with the mouse again.
or get the drive from logitech's site

You're post is a little confusing. The title says you're missing a Logitech hard drive but your post says the mouse isn't working.

You won't need the drivers for the basic mouse functions to work. Make sure you have the Set Point software installed then Go to the troubleshooting page on Logitech's site and follow the instructions to pair the device with the reciever.
