Specs: Windows xp pro
I run XP, and it was running great until I booted up Monday and it gave me the following error message " windows couldn't start because the following files are corrupt or missing> system 32\ntoskrnl.exe. I've tried everything I could. I don't have the rescue boot disk and just can't seem to get one to work that I've downloaded. I have tried booting from the cd with the downloaded disk in. No clue here. any help appreciated

What format was the downloaded disk in. Was it .iso.

If so how did you get it onto the CD? Did you just copy it or did you burn it to CD using something like Nero.
