I got a new nvidia 285 card turned off on board graphics and installed it the only way it runs is with the basicd driver if i install the manufactured driver i get mismanaging ptes. I have used nvidia for 6 years and never seen this issue. I really think its a conflict between onboard radeon which i hate and nvidia. I have see alot of post regarding this but what is the resolution so i can get the full performance of the video card?
U disable onboard video, did u un-install the driver? If nvidia driver is installed correct, the max resolution of the monitor should be set automatic after u start the system. What is the monitor name?
I uninstalled the onboard did a restart put the nvidia 285 in the computer put this generic vga driver in and then the blsd happens if i install the nvidia driver the blsd happens if i disable them under device manager the screen resolution changes but no more crashes. I have a samsung sync master 943. Its the drivers for this card that seem to be the problem but without them the new card is not recognised and doesnt work. After I unistall the pc tries to put the nvidia driver it got from the windows update in or the standard vga driver.
