Specs: Windows Ce
Hi everyone, so I found at goodwill last night a mini laptop, it runs windows CE, I bought it thinking I could use it like I could with a full sized laptop. But obviously you can't.. basically I wanted to be able to run a program on it called "Cydia Impactor" and be able to connect an iPad or iPhone to the mini laptop, and be able to sideload apps onto the phone. This is all extremely easily done on windows xp, and I use it all the time, I was just hoping to be able to use the mini laptop purely because it looks awesome! I'd never seen one before. Anyway, is it possible to do add my a program on this thing or what can I do with it?? Or did I just get my hopes up and this thing is actually useless??

Are these inexpensive Windows CE Netbooks on eBay even worth looking into?

You're not going to find any programs that run on Windows CE. It's an abandoned operating system. These mini laptops were basically meant for surfing the Internet and not much else. Cydia will not run on this laptop.

While your program (Cydia Impactor) may not run on it, I'd be hard pressed to call any computer (PDA/tablet/etc.) "useless". It's a matter of digging (i.e.---Googling) around and finding archive sites that still retain software for it. Heck, I still have a Dell Axim X50 that I use to play .mp3's while I'm outside cutting the lawn. If your's came with some sort of owners-manual (which you may find online if it didn't), first thing is to determine how to hook connect it to a PC to download software/files to it.
