Specs: Windows 7 x64, 16GB
I don't get any warnings etc and everything seems to 'work/happen' fine.
files get added/deleted/altered to from on the disk ok

However
once the card is ejected from the pc or even from my phone all the files/edits etc have disappeared.
used diskpart to check attributes and all are no/none.
cannot format the card neither

the disk seems to be write protected but by what I don't know?
have I inadvertently put some protection on it,if so how to find out what?

Hi Indi, are you using the Windows 'Eject' facility?

This is most important as it properly closes the device and then advises when it can be removed.

Razor's advice could be correct, as SD devices are notorious for not being S.
Thus are best used for just transporting Data, rather than for Backups..

Good Luck - Keep us posted.

If this is a micro SD card from a phone, try using a USB cable to connect the phone to the computer and adding the files that way to see if that works.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
