message saying 'RUNNER ERROR when boot up

February 15, 2011 at 14:19:04
Specs: Windows XP
Everytime I turn on my computer I receive 2 pop-ups saying the following:

RUNNER ERROR
Invalid Backweb
version id 6.1.0.153

I have no idea what this means or how to correct it. I just click OK and it goes away.
Can you tell me how to correct whatever this is?
Thank You so much

... a quick www.google shows HP uses "backweb" to search for updates for there software & hardware for your pc (yep looks like its even turned up on non-HP pc's)

... try either System restore or use (starter) this useful (freeware) app to disable the critter! (easy to use just uncheck the box!)

I HAVE TRIED SYSTEM RESTORE, ALL THE DISC CLEANUPS, DISC DEFRAG AND NOTHING GETS RID OF THE ERROR MESSAGE. ANY ONE ELSE HAVE ANY IDEAS.
ERROR MESSAGE SAYS INVALID BACKWEB VERSION id '6.1.0.153
I CAN'T GET EVEN MICROSOFT, HP OR ANYONE TO ANSWER THIS FOR ME.
I HAVE A hp pavilion 513g MODEL COMPUTER. IT IS OLD, BUT STILL WORKS FAIRLY WELL OTHER THAN THIS AND THE DISPLAY MODE KEEPS CHANGING ON ME.

... clam down dear and stop "SHOUTING" I would of thought the second link for the "starter" application would of been the best choice!
