Go to crucial.com and use their online tool to determine the amount of RAM that board can handle.

See the links below. That board appears to be an OEM for an Acer Aspire.

@ OtheHill
Thanks for your Help but sorry there is only doc about ACER ASPIRE 1100 (not the same MB on this Aspire model) not about ACER ASPIRE 5100 !

Page 21 of the PDF on the first page of the first link above, states that manual is also for the 5100. Look for yourself.

When a motherboard manufacturer makes an OEM board they may not create a manual for it.

The second link above is for a sold 5100 but shows a picture of the board along with the specs.

What is it you need from the manual. OEM boards will have very few options in the BIOS settings, if that is what you are looking for.

@ Othehill,
Thanks a lot again for your support !
I saw in the very accurate doc you pointed for my request that it was also relevant for Aspire 5100 but there are some contradiction about RAM specification and that's what I need to know without doubt.
DDR 800 Mhz compatible yes or now ? Maximum RAM on ONE slot is 1 or 2 Gb ?
The two links don't say the same thing.
Best regards

I have this exact motherboard (res690mo3-8ekrhfs2h) and also cannot find any other information about it for upgrades.

However, it will accept 2GB memory per slot for a total of 8GB. Speeds of 533/600/800 are all accepted. Unfortunately, there are no MB chipset drivers, bios, or other drivers compatible with Win 7 64 bit to access all of that memory. So, no ethernet card, no graphics driver, and no onboard sound. Vista 64 bit works fine, though.

Sometimes drivers are not available at a manufacturers site because they are built into Windows 7. Run the compatibility tool from Microsoft if you are currently running an earlier version of Windows.
