Many problems, may have to do with java

Micro-star international Radeon hd 6850...

Specs: Windows 7, Phenom II 3.3GHz / 16 gigs
So my computer has been having some issues lately...
First, while playing a video game, it started to randomly go 'fuzzy' with horizontal lines and a repeating sound.

Then it started corrupting the files that had to do with the game (java)

Next, java started just randomly closing any game or program running on it.

And now today my keyboard stops working properly and the lights on it keep blinking/going out. It is wired.
What I want to know is how do I fix this...

Things I have tried: Dusting out the computer extensively, testing the RAM, re-applying thermal paste to the GPU, re-installing java, backdating drivers, reinstalling drivers, getting the newest drivers.

EDIT: Also my 'screen' has to freeze and refresh before anything that moves works after a restart or crash.
I.e. youtube videos, gifs, and any games

Test the hard drive with the maker's diagnostic software for DOS which loads from a bootable CD. The links are at top of this page:

The download will usually be an ISO file from which you can make a CD using IMGBurn on a working PC:

Set your faulty computer to boot from CD drive first in BIOS Setup, then boot from that CD and the testing software will open. Select the system hard drive and choose the long or extended test.

Okay so I just finished the test, it had 8 errors, if there is some kind of error report file I will post it. I repaired them and scanned again and it had 0 errors.

Hopefully that helped

Best bet is to make sure your your important stuff is backed up pronto, just in case the HD is about to fail.

It might stay OK now but run the test again from time to time for a while until you are confident. If it keeps finding errors it is bad news.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
