I made my usb flash drive bootable recently and I want to put it back the way it was. How do I do this?

Format it.

I right clicked on the drive, selected 'Format', then clicked 'restore device defaults' and formatted it. It made no difference. The USB is still recognised as a harddrive rather than a flash drive. Any thoughts?

You have to un-mark the partition as being active and bootable but that isn't what you are asking about.

You need to get a flip bit application to change it from a hard drive to a usb removable.

Anyone that works. I think it was on pendrivelinux.com maybe or search for flip bit.
