LPT1 converter to USB problem

Specs: Windows 7
HP Officejet K7103 with USB and LPT1 printer ports. the USB one damaged ... I get LPT to USB cable to use it to connect the printer to my labtop. it is not responding ... my operating system is windows 7.

If the usb to parallel adapter is working and the correct one for this printer then I'd guess you need to adjust the way the printer is installed. It can't find the old usb and now needs to use parallel. Delete printer and install it again.

The USB port you connect the USB to Parallel adapter to must be one the adapter can work properly with.
E.g. it may not work properly if it's not plugged directly into a port built into the laptop.
