Does it say "low memory" or "low virtual memory"?

"low memory" or "low virtual memory"
- you have too many programs running and/or too many things opened (e.g.large photos).
- the file you are trying to load is larger than the Windows page (swap) file can handle at that time.

“Your system is low on virtual memory” error message when you try to start an Office program

"low disk space on C" - there is not enough free space on the C partition for Windows to work as fast as it can

"low disk space on (other than C)" - that hard drive partition has very little free space left on it.

The page file may not have increased when the ram was installed. Right click "my computer", click properties, then advanced tab, click the "performance tab" and the advanced tab again. Check "system managed" apply ok. You may have to restart. That will reset the page file to the proper size.
