Specs: Windows XP, AMD Athlon 1500_
If I just change the CMOS battery, do I need to reflash the BIOS?

After changing the CMOS battery you should not flash the BIOS. Flashing the BIOS should only be done if the update specifically addresses a problem you are having. A failed BIOS flash, which can happen even if you do everything right, is a very serious matter. In many cases the only recovery is physical replacement of the BIOS chip.
