hey guys I was just hoping for a little advice from some people that probably know a lot more than me about this stuff. I've never bought a printer and I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for, but I know I want a good all-in-one printer and I don't want to spend a million bucks, just like anybody right? I found this site and I'm leaning towards the Epson Expression Home XP-400 Inkjet Printer, I've read a lot of reviews but I was hoping to get some instant feedback from you guys about Epson or that exact printer and let me know what you guys think before I make the purchase? Thanks a lot!

I can recommend one brand over the competition, and that's Canon.

I've had two Epson's and found that ink-blockages in the printhead were far too frequent despite using it almost every day. Good photo output, but my existing Canon is every bit as good on that front, and ink-blockage has never been a problem.

I recommend you seriously look at laser instead of inkjet. If you plan on using frequently then ink is OK. Toner doesn't seem to go bad or dry up, like ink. Print heads clog. Printing with ink is generally more expensive.

Over the life of the printer you will spend more on supplies than you did on the printer.

Do you need color? Do you print photos? How many sheets a month do you plan on printing?
