Logitech Lapdesk N7000 speaker not playing

July 17, 2013 at 22:54:08
Specs: Windows XP
Lapdesk N7000 Only right speaker has sound. Is default on computer for audio device. Could there be problem with type of speaker selection? It is currently set on desktop speakers. Should it be set to no speakers, or laptop speakers? Since using the lapdesk, not using laptop speakers at all. I have tried different settings and still only have sound from right speaker.

Maybe you have the sound settings set to monaural. If that doesn't help then go to the link below for further help.

I am fairly certain the selection for sound is stereo. I have already visited Logitech's support page. At this time, I am unsure if the item is under warranty or not. It was a gift to my father from my brother, and I really don't know how long he has had it or if the left speaker has ever worked. Thank you for your response.

It could be something as simple as the wire disconnected from the speaker. Prove or disprove this by trying it with headphones. Another possibility is that the headphone break jack is defective.

If it was set to mono I would still expect sound (identical) from both speakers.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
