Locked out of IBM T43 Thinkpad laptop

Specs: Windows xp
I have formatted lenova T43 hard drive and installed win xp. next step, i have installed the drivers. but wireless LAN hardware is not visible. so i checked the BIOS. To enter BIOS, it shows locked symbol. I can still enter BIOS but with limited access. The config-network-internal wireless shows hidden and doesn't allow me to change. Please give me a solution

If the wireless was working before you formatted, you do NOT need to do anything in the BIOS. You simply need to install the appropriate drivers. Try pressing Fn+F5 to turn the wireless on.

It is not listed in the hardware list and you want to see if it is disabled in the bios which you are locked out of. You will have to try and contact seller and see if they remember the password. Reformatting forces the data to be overwritten, and does not change the bios security,so, unless you have some way of calling Lenovo with proof of ownership or the person you bought it from you won't find much help.

How could you reformat if the bios was locked? Makes no sense to me....
