Check your BIOS settings to see it you can select "video display" options.
(Example: mine has choice of
1. On board video,
2. PCI-e slot video
3. AGP slot)

I cannot access bios, the monitor does not show anything even after selecting F2 or F12. The pc is brand new but the monitor is not but works perfectly with another pc just not with the new one. Monitor is Samsung SyncMaster B2230 and the pc is Lenovo H535s.

Are you using a standard VGA cable, no adapters? Are there any beeps coming from the tower? Any lights coming on or flashing on either the tower or keyboard?

If the monitor and cable are good and you never ever see anything at all on the screen then this must be a hardware fault. As it is brand new you should consider using the warranty.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

You say you tried F2 and F12. Does that mean those options showed on the screen but pressing them left you at a blank screen or did nothing ever show on the screen and you just pressed those keys because they're the ones to use to access the bios and boot order?

As already mentioned it sounds like a hardware problem either with the computer or the video connection. Did you verify this 'new' computer worked before bringing it home? Did it then have a different video connection than what you're using now?
