I have HP Laserjet 1100. If I try to print a document that has both text and picture, it only prints text but not the picture. Any solution to the problem so that both are printed.
Text uses only black ink, whereas graphics need the other colours too. So that points to the colour jets in the printer perhaps being blocked up with dried ink. The blockage is in the printhead so fitting new colour cartridges won't fix it. Take out all the cartridges, remove the printhead, and wash it in hot, soapy water. Leave it to dry for 24 hours then put it back. Put the cartridges back and try printing.
It is an option in Microsoft Word whether to print both text and picture. Go to Printer settings in a document, this action will be global and apply to all future documents.
