Solved Laptop Screen went black after exposed to sun

Specs: Windows 7
my laptop screen went completely black after exposing it to too much sun yesterday. you see, i was working outdoor yesterday, and the sun was so hot. i think my laptop got overheated. i tried to run a music cd, and played well. the keys are working properly either. it's just that, from last morning until now, the screen is still completely black.what do i do?
any help would do. thanks!

as above, try any monitor most laptops have a monitor out of some sort, if you get a screen, then you can run a some tests, a system restore, driver update, however if these fail, put your face very close too the screen see if you can make out any thing at all on the screen, if you can its probably just a back light issue which can sorted by a loose connection or new backlight.

i hate computers!

It's also possible that you accidently pressed the key combo to switch to an external monitor. What brand is your laptop?

Take it inside and use a flashlight on the screen to see if there is any clues to it working. If only the back light is burned out you might have a chance to fix it. If the screen is bad it might be possible to replace it. If the motherboard went, I doubt it would be worth the effort to attempt. I wouldn't spend much to attempt a repair. Just buy a new system.
