|Brand new... It's under warranty... Don't mess about or waste your time - use the warranty and ask for a replacement immediately. It's not fit for the purpose for which it was sold (as it would be described more or less in UK consumer law).|
If you have any personal files on it, copy them to external storage immediately - DVD at least; ideally to an external (usb) hard drive too if possible.
And also develop the habit of duplicating all important personal files (whatever they may be) to external storage; so that if per chance you do have problems in the future your personal data is already safeguarded off the system.
And when you do have a properly working computer again - make the recovery set of DVDs - which most people don't and later which they had...
