Laptop screen black need help badly

Specs: Windows Vista
I have my laptop and when i switch it on its black fully and you can't see a thing i've tried everything i've got a new charger and everything and it still don't work i don't know what to do i've tried help and i don't know whether i have to go buy loads of things just to get the screen working again. please help.

have you tried holding the Fn button and pressing the screen output button? It may be trying to output to a monitor.

If builders built buildings like programmers wrote programs, then the first woodpecker that came along would destroy civilization.

A lot of laptops have a vga video output on them that you can hook up a monitor to them. Doesnt sound like this is your issue though. Can you hear any sounds when you boot it up? Any flashing lights?

I had a similar problem, it was due to my MBR getting corrupted...

a corrupted MBR shouldnt cause NO video output. Video should still at least display during POST
