Laptop no longer charges while plugged in

Acer Aspire 5735-6694 notebook

Specs: Windows 7
So my laptop is no longer charging. When plugged in, it still acts like it's on battery. If I'm lucky and hold the power cord a certain way, it charges.

I can't particularly determine if the connector on the laptop itself is faulty, but I can wiggle the jack back and forth when the cord is plugged into it.

Is it the cord? The connector?

Given the scenario you described - it is obviously the connector (DC power jack). If I were you I would have Acer-authorized Service Center look at it.

Thanks for the reply. Diagnosis showed that the jack was
definitely damaged, and required total replacement.

Also, the AC adapter was apparently damaged, as well.
