Laptop graphics card question

Specs: Windows 7, Intel i7 740QM 1.73/ 6 gigs
I'm wanting to know if it is possible to upgrade my laptop graphics card. I know that very few are and I wanted to see if mines was one of them.

Sony Vaio VPCF136FM

Intel i7 740QM 1.73
6gb ram
Nvidia 425M 1gb ram

i dont see a reason for u to do that, urs is pretty good.
laptop upgrades are rare and the parts are not cheap its not advisable to do that

Most laptops don't have a 'card', they have integrated graphics. As toxict51 pointed out, the Geforce GT 425M is pretty darn good. Personally, I wouldn't mess with it. If you're not happy with the performance, sell it & buy a better gaming laptop. You're going to pay one way or the other anyway. And if you muck things up by attempting to upgrade it yourself, you'll be stuck with a brick & no warranty to fall back on.
